I was reading this opinion piece in the Times today and I was struck by the following sentence:
“County Executive Thomas Suozzi and Police Commissioner Lawrence Mulvey were so dismayed that they have refused to cooperate on further raids until ICE gets its act together.”
I thought for a second how wonderful it would be to read the following:
“Mayor Eddie Perez and Representatives Gonzalez & Roldán were so dismayed that they have refused to cooperate on further raids.”
Wishful thinking on my behalf I guess.
