Dateline: October 27, 2009 – 11 Candidates for the Hartford Board of Education elections came together for, what all reports say was, one of the most successful of such forums held at the Library’s X Room. I had my Tuesday evening Civic Leadership course with CCNE and was kinda bumming as I wanted to hear some specific people talk and, historically, the reporting on these things are always about the drama and never any consice reporting of what happened….not this time!!
Real Hartford has put together a wonderful post of what happened at the forum with some helpful insight on almost all the candidates. Even Kevin Spacey made an appearance.

Ironically enough, my class last night focused on the Sheff v O’Neill settlement and Educational judicial history going back to Brown v Board of Education and it’s effect n the nation and Hartford. Check out the link above if you’d like to learn more about future institutes.
